Lavender oil contains compounds called linalool and linalyl acetate, which have anti-inflammatory properties and help with skin issues such as eczema, psoriasis, itching, and dermatitis.

On the other hand, chamomile oil improves lavender’s anti-inflammatory properties and acts as an antimicrobial, helping to speed up wound healing.

1. With Essential Oils

For this recipe, you would need a quarter cup each of coconut oil, almond or jojoba oil, shea butter, and aloe vera gel. You would also need 1 tablespoon of beeswax pellets and 10 drops each of lavender and chamomile essential oils.

In a waterproof bowl over a pot of boiling water, melt in the beeswax, shea butter, coconut, and almond oils. Once thoroughly melted, turn off the heat and let the mixture cool. Then, add in the aloe vera gel and essential oils. Blend everything with a whisk or hand mixer until you see soft peaks.

Then, scoop the lotion in a clean, airtight jar with a lid, and you can use it for 3-4 months! Here’s the recipe in more detail.

2. Using Emulsifying Wax

This recipe uses slightly different ingredients than the previous one, but the process remains pretty much the same. Instead of beeswax pellets and coconut oil, you will use stearic acid and emulsifying wax.

For added benefits, this recipe also uses more essential oils, such as carrot seed, frankincense, and geranium, in addition to lavender and chamomile.

3. Dried Flowers and Oils
